foundDANCE is a beginner/all levels contemporary dance class—which means it is for: those who are new to dance, new to contemporary dance, returning to dance after a long time, and anyone looking for a class that prioritizes the joy of movement in a welcoming environment. We will cover movement fundamentals, guided improvisation, learning choreography step by step, all while being gentle with ourselves as we learn new things. At the heart of this class is the experience of moving with a group of people and the magic it brings.
foundDANCE is a 4-week series that begins again approximately every month with new material. The series format allows participants to comfortably learn new skills and a movement phrase over the course of the month. Because the series is a cohesive whole, it’s ok to miss classes, but they aren’t able to be transferred into future series.

Intermediate Contemporary Dance

interDANCE is intermediate contemporary dance technique, improvisation, somatics, and performance training. It is designed to take the skills learned in foundDANCE to the next level and to slow down advanced movement pathways. If you have taken foundDANCE and are ready for more of a challenge, this class is for you! If you are an advanced dancer looking for subtlety and depth in your practice, this class is also for you! Open to all, previous experience in any dance form strongly encouraged.
interDANCE runs 4-weeks at a time and begins again with new material approximately every month. Signing up for interDANCE as a series allows you to build on material over the course of the month and qualifies you for the discounted rates. Drop-ins are allowed while there is still availability. If you sign up for the series, it’s ok to miss classes, but they aren’t able to be transferred into future months once the series has started.
